Department of Homeland Security, Office of Biometric Identity Management
Redesign of a high security office space utilizing revised space standards to improve utilization.

The Office of Biometric Identity Management, a highly secure office of the Department of Homeland Security, needed to improve their space utilization and create a modern efficient workspace. MAP redesigned the 5th floor to accommodate the occupants of that floor as well as parts of the 8th Floor, utilizing revised space standards. The utilization rate improved to 150 square feet per person. MAP performed the following tasks to accomplish this goal:
- Conducted information analysis and space situation assessment.
- Developed a Program of Requirements
- Developed concept drawings and test-fits.
- Prepared a furniture procurement package that included designs and specifications
