Pre-Design Services
Pre-Design bridges the gap between a feasibility study and the final design. This is a process of targeted decision-making based on the physical, functional, fiscal, and political circumstances specific to the project.

MAP meets with users, analyzes existing spaces/utilization, reviews standards, incorporates expected future growth, and develops guiding schematics. A complete pre-design package would include a complete space program, building and site drawings and analysis, feasibility study options, concepts and a requirement package that includes budgets, procurement guidelines and performance specifications.
Many organizations are opting for project delivery methods other than the traditional design-bid-build methods. Design-build has gained popularity in recent years and many organizations have adopted this project delivery method. To ensure quality and design intent, agencies have opted to develop performance criteria, schematic design, or bridging documents.
Pre-Design essentially bridges the gap between a feasibility study and the final design. The pre-design methodology and deliverables are determined based on the preferred project delivery method. MAP routinely advises clients on project delivery method selection based on cost, schedule, quality, and risks. It has also advised clients on pre-design methodologies.
